Event Details

We are living an age of new possibilities. We have created tools that allow us to connect, converse, collaborate and express our creativity in ways that were unimaginable just a few years ago. This new culture of participation is changing how we work, learn and play.

All Together Now - Delivering Further Education in the Age of Mass Participation will provide an opportunity for policy makers and Further Education professionals and practitioners to consider the implications and potential of this new wave of media and technology innovation, learn from the people who have been pioneering their use and network, debate and develop how they could be used to enrich the learner experience in FE.

Contributors include:-

Sion Simon - FE Minister

Matt Locke - Commissioning Editor, Channel 4 Education

Kate Quilton - Syndication Producer, Channel 4

Ruby Pseudo - founder, Ruby Pseduo Consulting

Duane Melius - founder of SENSE Media and co-Founder of the Commission for Youth Social Enterprise

Nick Jankel - social innovator focused on mental capital and experiential learning, wecoach.

Jill Attewell - Manager, Technology Enhanced Learning Research Centre, Learning and Skills Network

Case studies will be presented by Adam Gee, Cross Platform Commissioning Editor, Channel 4, presenting sexperienceuk and Lucy Willis, Raw Television, Executive Producer presenting Battlefront

Ivo Gormley will also be introducing a showing of his film Us Now which explores the social and cultural implications of mass participatory culture.

We will also hear from Mark Rock, BestBefore Media, who develop audio and video toolsets see AudioBoo

There will be lots of opportunities to engage with contributors during the day and the event will close with a 90 minute 'open space' session which will allow all participants to self organise around the issues and ideas that they want to explore further.

Please note: we have a limited number of tickets so book early.
